Significance of Salher Fort – History & Legacy
Salher Fort is a very important place in history. It was a strong and powerful fort during the time of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj. In the year 1672, a big fight happened here – the Battle of Salher – between the Marathas and the Mughals. This battle was special because it was one of the few large wars that happened on a fort, and the Marathas won it proudly.
This fort was also used as an important route for trade and army movement between Maharashtra and Gujarat. Isliye yeh fort strategic aur historical dono tarah se kaafi important hai.

- Road is motorable till Salherwadi village, park here and start the trek
