How to Reach Matheran from Mumbai & Pune
🛤️ By Train:- Step 1: Reach Neral Junction on the Mumbai–Karjat railway line (Central Railway).
- Step 2: From Neral, you can take the Matheran Toy Train (subject to season) or a shared taxi to Dasturi Point.
- Toy Train: Slow and scenic journey (2 hours) – check availability.
- Drive from Mumbai (2.5 hrs) or Pune (3.5 hrs) via NH 48 to Neral and then to Dasturi Car Park.
- Private vehicles are not allowed beyond Dasturi Point.
- From Dasturi: walk (30–45 mins), take a horse ride, or hand-pulled rickshaw to Matheran market.
